Jakey and Trev

Jakey and his cousin Trevor were having fun playing with Jakey's old toy.
Of course a fully loaded Christmas tree is too much fun to resist!
Here is the happy family and the Thanksgiving spread. Great food Tom and Amanda! Jakey ate way too much of the corn.
Jakey and Trevor found lots of activities to keep them occupied. Imagine what they will do when Trevor begins to walk.

Random quilt night pictures

Mugsy always likes to be involved somehow. He is usually getting in the way, so this was a good place for him .
There is always ironing to be done.
Amy is hard at work with Shelley's "desert" quilt getting pieced together on the ground.

Another baby quilt

Why not crank out two baby quilts for the work of one? That is my motto, so I did this one along with the other one. This one has more of a craziness to the pattern, but the zigzags are still there. I really like it with the turquoise binding. I do think that next time I'll choose a backing fabric that is a different color from the arrows on the back.

New baby quilt

Here is my latest baby quilt made for a very special little guy. This one is done from my pattern. I really like the blue/gray combination.
The batting was a little fluffier than I'm used to, so I'm going to have to start basting and making larger backings to the quilts so I don't run out of fabric on the sides. Each quilt is a learning experience.
I was very happy to have a little embroidered patch with all of Roland's important info on it embroidered thanks to my friend Gioia's machine. Most of the fabric from this quilt is secondhand gotten from various places. I think maybe all of it. The blue backing was a tablecloth in its former life.
